September 2003
We hiked along all of the famous locks (Lomond and Ness) since the weather was so sunny and nice. We even hiked to the top of Ben Nevis the day before we left.
Sue and I would love to go back again.
Thank you for all of your help in making the arrangements for one of the best trips we have ever been on. While we did a lot, there is still a lot more to do.

from Kinsale, Virginia
The trip(custom Australia and New Zealand) was better than we ever
expected, especially the times we spent with our own drivers, Alan
and John plus our limo to the Sydney marina on our last day sail.
We can not imagine a better outfit than Robal Tours, first class….

You and the entire Royal Travel crew deserve the highest accolades for designing and executing our wonderful trip. The logistics were as difficult as one could imagine, and the tactics of daily delivery worked like clockwork. What a dream.

Recently I took a trip to Russia sponsored by Viking River Cruises. This was aboard a ship that
traveled the waterways via rivers, lakes and locks between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Having
made many voyages in the past aboard freighters as a passenger, I can truthfully speak with
authority when I say there was no comparison. The Viking cruise reminded me of a floating hotel.
Comfortable cabins, excellent dining, entertainment at night, shipboard lectures and wonderful
shore excursions. The most delightful experiences I discovered were the very congenial fellow
passengers. It was astonishing to realize what I had been missing.
Well, one good trip deserves another. I hope next year to take a second relaxing Viking River Cruise
to the nation of the Ukraine on the smooth waters of the great Dneiper River passing the charming
countryside from Kiev to Odessa on the Black Sea. This will include a visit to Yalta, the summer
palace of the Czars and meeting place of the war time leaders, Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin.
The introduction to the many historical, cultural and interesting places attained sailing these rivers
in Russia, Central Europe, France and Italy by Viking River Cruises was extended by Royal Travel
Center in Williamsburg, VA. They were exceedingly helpful in every way. Obtaining flight tickets,
visa and reservations on the Viking River Cruise Line. For a safer, leisurely vacation I heartily
recommend it. Remember it is an escape from the tensions of the day and you only unpack once.

Dear Mary Lou:
We're just back from Scotland, where we had a wonderful McComb family reunion, thanks to your hard work and excellent connections.
Although we only covered a small part of Scotland, Glasgow to Inverness to Edinburgh, we managed to pack an enormous amount of the Scottish experience into a week. The cozy bus we had accommodated our 18 family members perfectly. While the kids played car and travel games in the back, the adults looked out on highland hills where the heather was just beginning to bloom. We saw fabulous castles, each one unique. We attended our clan dinner, where our Scots connections were very gracious to us. Three of our kin thought they saw Nessie as we rounded Loch Ness. Dessert was a taste of the Edinburgh Festival and a rousing military Tattoo. Our bus driver was more a host than a chauffeur: We were ready to adopt him by the time the trip finished.
We couldn't have felt more welcome, and we'll cherish the memories always. Thank you, and Doug of Scotworld, for arranging everything so beautifully. As ever,
Betsy W., for the McCombs
